Oily Skin Hacks.

Oily skin type needs the most care and I have some good hacks, maybe most of these you haven’t heard about. So let’s get into the hacks:

Don’t wash too much : Washing strips your skin off the natural oils. It makes the glands secrete more oil to balance the skin. Washing your face too often makes it more oily. Some people consider washing the oily skin too often to remove the oil on the skin, but the glands counterbalance and end up making more oil.Optimum is washing your face twice a day, once before leaving for work and the second before sleeping. I personally use the Clean and Clear face wash and works very well for me.

Don’t forget to moisturize: One should keep one’s skin moisturized, be it oily,  dry or even normal. Moisturizer has its own purpose of keeping your skin soft and supple. Don’t deprive your skin from being felt good just because you have oily skin !

Scrubbing is not necessary daily: Scrubbing is rubbing your skin with some granular medium that pulls out the dirt and grim from the pores. First of all, scrubbing should be done with gentle hands. Casual scrubbing can cause wrinkle, rashes and cuts. On oily skin, it can enlarge the pores. Scrubbing can be done twice a week that too followed by some mask.

Mask: Masking is very crucial when it comes to pore contractions and sucking out dirt from them. Clay masks are the best for the oily skin. They get into the pores, take excess oil and the dirt sticks to the mask and gets washed of with water.

Tone : The skin should be toned to get rid of the visible large pores. Rose water is good as a toner. I use rosewater.

DIY cleanser : You can DIY cleanser using gram flour and fresh lemon juice to get rid of excess oil. Apply the paste on your face and then rub it off gently. Apply the paste once in a fortnight. Continued application results in even complexion.

Another DIY: Cucumber juice and fresh lemon juice . Seat the mixture till it dries and then wash. You feel fresh and your complexion also evens out.
Ice to diminish pores constantly: Ice instantly contracts the pores. Hold the ice near the nose area or wherever you have pores, you see the results within minutes.

Hydrate: Now this one is not particularly for oily skin, but yes, you need to keep taking water and fresh fruit juice for that extra glow.

Sleep on clean pillowcase: This is a very minut aspect that no one generally pays attention to. Dirty pillowcase has dirt in it, and people with oily skin stick that to their face, and the germ action takes place in night.

I hope you found this helpful.

History of Beauty.

Beauty is a concept as old as mankind itself. Now one may think that I consider only humans to be beautiful.
By talking about beauty being as old as mankind I meant that the sense of perception brought beauty to life. Before this sense, the beautiful things went unnoticed.
Now what is beauty? What is considered beautiful? When there was no sign of perception on this planet, who decided what beauty is and what is not. Well, beauty lies in the fact, how the things on Earth came to existence.
The entire creation is beautiful in one form or the other. Some like the colours, some the shape, some the form. It is up to what appeals you the most, what pulls you more.
Now let us see how beauty is relevant to the history of this planet. Everyone knows how life came to existence. We know this because we have advanced technology and people working together towards a common goal to explore the planet, and the processes that took place to give a form of the present day terrain. Now how beautiful is that. From rocks and water, to plants, to flowers. It is beautiful how millions of species are living and are a support to the life system of other creature. How beautiful is it when we realize that everything on the planet is in a relationship.
Beauty cannot be restricted to looks. Beauty is also about a process that produces good results.
Many people relate beauty to looks. Outer beauty is the easiest way to judge a person, but beware! Stereotyping and halo effects are not the most accurate tools to examine a person. Shakespeare has written in Macbeth “Look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under ‘t.” also” there’s no art to find the mind’s construction in the face”. Duncan was murdered by one of his most trusted men.
Beauty is not only on the surface. The goodness of character is also beauty.Beauty fades with age, not the character. There have been so many beautiful people in this world, came, lived and died. Do we know all of them? Or the people who we know from the history are all good to look at? Their deed and character is what has kept them alive.
A lot can be talked about beauty because your way of looking at things can make everything beautiful.

College

Our lives are divided into phases. Each chapter is very important as each one of them teaches us one drill or the other. One of the most memorable part of our lives is the college life. School teaches us the maximum number of lessons, because it is the time when we meet new people and go to new places.

Following are some of the many lessons that my university taught me.

  • So many assignments compelled me to spend sleepless nights in the earlier semesters, with time I learnt time management.
  • There are so many things to do that you realize that there is no brim to improvement, improvement is more of a cycle. You make sure that you improve everyday, and learn with whatever comes in your way. I myself brushed up on many skills in the college.
  • You live with people from different places and varied mentality. With practice you are able to distinguish who lifts you up and the ones who are always there to drag you down. I always try to spend time with people who make me happy.
  • Learn to respect. Being real, I did not know the importance of respect till the end of my school. I was always one of the students that were called by the Principal ma’am for the misbehavior. In college, when I came across people with multiple talent, I always felt inspired to discover more of me. I now respect the ones who put out for the world to see whatever they are good at.
  • I was in a hostel in the college. I had to make the monthly budget all by myself. Like when I was at home, I was not responsible for all these things. So another very important thing that you learn in your college life is to plan on how to spend.
  • Not everyone’s opinion matter. I have always known that I am not there to live according to anyone, whatever they say.
  • You learn to value the home cooked food. The hostel mess has something fancy to offer daily ,but one thing that everyone is aware of is that the food has low quality and hygiene levels.
  • Once you start living by your own, you cannot expect a permanent guidance from parents without explaining them the background. This process is often a long one. Practicing decision making helps here. Making decisions on your own serves as a shortcut.
  • Not all druggists, smokers and drinkers are bad.

I hope you find this relatable and helpful.

Happy Relationships and People.

Relationship is the manner in which you are linked with the other person. The link should be such that you feel blissful with them. You happen in be in a relationship when you find the need to share the can of worms, or euphoria with someone. Everyone is so much overloaded these days that you cannot share your intuition with everyone. Therefore one can deduce that the companionship of some buddy-buddy is vital.

Being happy with this close one is very important. Never hop into a relationship just because everyone is in one. You should continue with the tie -up only when you do not have to change for the other person. Some changes are obligatory, but changing completely may land you in a hot soup. Just be who you are, not hurting the other half at the same time.

Try not to vex the person, but at the same time, you should also see that you do not have to risk your contentment at any cost. If you feel that you have to do this, then try to move out of the relationship before it is too late.

If we consider the relationship to be a building, then trust is the foundation, time spent together is the height of the building, the bonding shared contributes as the walls and the personal space as the doors and windows of the building of the relationship. If the foundation trembles, the height, the walls and doors and windows dwindle. Similarly, if the trust is lost, the time spent, the bonding shared and the personal spaces are of no use.

Life is too short to waste your time in bad relationships.

I hope you find this helpful.

Makeup Beginner Tips

Make up helps us look more presentable and polished. One should also wear the right makeup at the right time and place. Today I have a couple of tips that will guide the girls at the beginner stage.

  • If you are on a budget and still want to invest in some good products, go for drugstore makeup. Some drugstore brands do equal justice as the high end makeup.
  • Comprehend your skin before you step into makeup. Not all forms of makeup suits our skin, for example, I have dry cheek, therefore, I avoid powdered blush, contour and highlight and go for liquid or creme and are moisturizing for my skin.
  • Makeup just adds to your beauty, so you need to keep the skin healthy too, so that the makeup does not look cakey and has a good finish. By saying healthy skin, I mean that the skin should have a good texture and also even. Several bumps on the skin even after makeup is not good to look at.
  • Watching tutorials and getting the look is okay for practice, but to be an expert, one should know how to play with the colors and create one’s own looks, that not only co- ordinate, but also go with the occasion.

I hope you found this helpful.

My Favorite Face Masks.

Face masks play an important role in a skincare regime as it has it’s own task to perform. Face masks pull the impurities out from the pores helping the skin to breathe properly and stay healthy. In addition to this, it also makes the skin more smooth and enhances the texture of the skin.

Following are some of my favorite masks :

  • Everyuth Naturals Golden Glow Peel Off Mask : It peels away dead cells, dirt and bacteria from within from the skin pores, stimulates blood circulation and oxygen supply. This is a very good option for college students as it is easily available and also does not burn a hole in your pocket.

I also do a couple of DIYs that are effective on my skin:

  •  Fullers Earth face mask : Take a teaspoon of the clay and mix it with a teaspoon of lemon juice and rosewater each. Mix it well to make a paste. Apply on the skin evenly. Wait until the mask dries and then wash it off. This mask in particular creates a cooling sensation and reduces the size of the pores.
  • Turmeric, flour, cinnamon face mask : This face mask removes the blackheads or whiteheads present in the pores because of the presence of the cinnamon. Turmeric powder helps in removing the tan.

Face masks should be applied twice or thrice in a week. Some of the masks are believed to have skin tightening properties and also prevent wrinkles, making the skin tone even.

I hope you found this helpful.

Reduce Large Pores.

Large pores is the most talked about problem when it comes to the people with oily skin. Where large pores are one of the cons of the oily skin, this skin type also has a few pros that one should feel fortunate about.

  • Oily skin gets less wrinkles , and therefore people with oily skin age very late.
  • Oily skin has that natural glow without the use of highlighter.

Being oily can prove to be a blessing ,if you take care of your skin very nicely.

WHAT CAUSES LARGE PORES?

The oil glands present underneath our skin produces oil to counter the dryness, in the case of oily skin, it is a bit more. The oils reach the surface of the skin through the pores present on the skin. The pores when not cleaned, swell up and appear larger, hence the large pores.

HOW TO REDUCE THE LARGE PORES ?

  1. Clean : Keep your pores clean so that they are not clogged and do not appear large. You can use a good cleanser that removes all the dirt from the pores. The accumulation of dust and grime also make them appear large.
  2. Do not wash too often : People sometimes think that oil should be removed from the skin as soon as possible. But the truth is that, the glands will secrete more oil to keep the skin moisturized. Washing the face two times a day is more than enough.
  3. Scrub : Scrub of the blackheads or other impurity and unclog the pores. Always use the scrub with smaller granules so that no area is irritated. Never scrub too often , because it can irritate the pores producing more oils.
  4. Tone : Always use a toner post cleansing. It reduces the size of the pores making the skin tight. Toner should be used on a daily basis. One can use green tea, rosewater or even rice water as a toner.
  5. Clay masks : Clay masks are known to stick to the impurity and clean the pores. I personally recommend to use fullers earth with some rose water or aloe vera gel to create a paste and then apply on the skin. This mask in particular creates a cooling sensation and reduces the size of the pores.
  6. Ice : Ice is used for the instant reduction in the size of the pores and also to add a shine to the skin. Hold a cube of ice in a piece of cloth, and rub over your face, especially around and over the nose where you get the visible pores.

I hope you found this helpful.
